Selection Process
Every year, approximately 15,000 – 20,000 secondary school students apply for a place in MWITS, and only 240 students of the country’s best are accepted. The selection process is based on a two-phase criterion.
First Phase: General Selection (only the top 500 are selected)
- A standardized examination - tests on students’ scholastic achievements in Science and Mathematics.
Second Phase*: Final Selection (only the top 240 are selected)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test.
- Complex Problem Solving Test on Science & Mathematics.
*Testing methods may vary annually based on the Committee’s decision
All 500 students are invited for a weekend PRE-MWITS boarding camp for a trial stay to become familiar with our teaching and learning environment.
